Many times we compare generations, always said that the generations now living much better than before, there's no doubt and not discussed, but I am going to refer this case to me that if he is right to be special.
A generation that has experienced very large changes both in technology, including family, educational, historical ... etc. They are the generation between 30 and 40 years or so.

Now, we can make more powerful cars, plasma TVs, next-generation mobile phones ... etc, but this generation invented it and lived and are living in a more direct transformation of it. Nigun another generation will live those changes, because the cars can fly ... but the car they saw him born, it will improve the phones ... but the first, even with cable, it took them, but they can not communicate by letter to meet and manage internet (through the phone cord that we have it) of having to go to get firewood to cook with a cooking hob with smart ... and so many things.
They are a generation fighter and strong, they let us come to an easier road, we, the children, we had television from the beginning, another education, without almost repressions in school, without wood kitchen, telephone and tap water . Everything was easier. The next generation will have even easier and more comfortable life. Not much different from ours, because everything is improving and is exceeded, but have not lived the "nothing to everything" as that. This generation will not be repeated in life.

Something new and different
For days I have and enjoy a new life, living on a desert island, but I lack nothing. There are people around me (so it is not as deserted), I have food and of course the internet.
It's a very peculiar island where the inhabitants are temporary, nobody stays there for an unlimited time, is a temporary island. The reception natives do when you arrive is very cozy because they remind you with many details and many hours throughout the day (or night) that are new, but all done very nicely, from the honey.
When I recommended it I knew I would not like it much. It has a large palm tree in the center and there meets everyone who lives on the island. Phones and emails are exchanged, they eat, drink, smoke, gossip, read, and resting a lot more.
Besides this palm is enclosed places where most people still in those sites spend a lot of time and people are very diverse.
Some did not talk to anyone, others too and some people even do it in another language. It's like a great tower of Babel. We all have the same mission in those places closed, so we share similar concerns and interests. I feel very "Agustito" (as I would say that ...), in these small caves on the island, which although not receive direct sunlight you feel very wrapped by the warmth.
In such small enclosures is a person who seems to have more power than anyone and that it must be the case. Sometimes I think some of these people have no desire to be there on that island, probably would like to enjoy the pleasures of it, but outside the closed areas, or lying in a hammock and soak up the sun, because they talk a lot and say nothing. However others will speak and you convey enthusiasm and optimism to keep you living in it.
The food never fails, the island has dishes that never thought she would try. Everything looks tastier and now and all. In addition to the resources of the island, there are other ways to source and have food for a long time, (but that is confidential, I can not reveal). MRCDN.

Before and now
A few days ago walking around a city I had the opportunity to see the construction of a church. It is not very common these days, and not why I came to my mind the book "The Pillars of the Earth", the bestseller by Ken Follet which raged some years ago.
Nothing to see the construction of this church I saw a cathedral, but compare what is that now that more and more technology means we do things differently, (less beautiful, she would call me).

Neither cathedrals or churches or homes or major buildings, no parks or gardens.

In late 80s I was 20, I lived so intensely that time because he was already an age. It is not the same catch 80 with 5 or 10 years because at that age things are seen with different eyes.

On TV we see "V", The A-Team, Knight Rider, live feeling, Fame, The House on the Prairie, The Golden Girls, Dallas, Falcon Crest, Dynasty, Miami Vice, The Thorn Birds (this my favorite was and still is, hehe) and of course, remember the first telenovela that arrived in Spain, Glass.
As a Spanish series that I liked only remember gold rings and Blue Summer contest and more marked as the mythical 1,2,3 respond again.
The style of that decade impacted by the colors, accessories and hairstyles.
The fashion of the '80s is perhaps one of the most memorable. The volume, the colors and exuberances were what marked it.
Double-breasted jackets with huge shoulder pads, pants that fastened with a strip under the top tube foot and the waist, big belts, heaters ... (and I, with headbands like an Indian).
We had no phones and we understood ... and we were not there blogs but we wrote everything in newspapers, but if we did not triunfitos idols to admire.
That and much more ... WERE THE EIGHTY !!!!!!!

This experiment is what led to the broken window theory, developed by James Wilson and George Kelling: If a building is a broken window, and not settled soon, the other windows immediately end up being destroyed by vandals. Why? Because it's fun to break windows, of course. But above all, because the broken window sends a message: there's no one to look after this.
